'Flood' in the Bible

watch out! The LORD God is about to bring the flood waters of the Euphrates River against them, mighty and strong.

It will pour into Judah,flood over it, and sweep through,reaching up to the neck;and its spreading streamswill fill your entire land, Immanuel!

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah shall beat out from the flood of the river unto the torrent of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, ye children of Israel.

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

Because you have said, "We have {made} a covenant with death, and we have made an agreement with Sheol. [The] overwhelming flood, when it passes through, will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves in falsehood."

And I will make justice the measuring lineand righteousness the mason’s level.”Hail will sweep away the false refuge,and water will flood your hiding place.

And your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; you will become a trampling place for the overwhelming flood when it passes through.

“For this is like the days of Noah to Me:when I swore that the waters of Noahwould never flood the earth again,so I have sworn that I will not be angry with youor rebuke you.

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

For this is what the Lord says:I will make peace flow to her like a river,and the wealth of nations like a flood;you will nurse and be carried on her hipand bounced on her lap.
