'Forsake' in the Bible
Indeed, none of those who [expectantly] wait for You will be ashamed;Those who turn away from what is right and deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed (humiliated, embarrassed).
Do not hide Your face from me,Do not turn Your servant away in anger;You have been my help;Do not abandon me nor leave me,O God of my salvation!
Cease from anger and abandon wrath;Do not fret; it leads only to evil.
Do not abandon me, O Lord;O my God, do not be far from me.
Do not cast me off nor send me away in the time of old age;Do not abandon me when my strength fails and I am weak.
And even when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not abandon me,Until I declare Your [mighty] strength to this generation,Your power to all who are to come.
“If his children turn away from My lawAnd do not walk in My ordinances,
“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
I shall keep Your statutes;Do not utterly abandon me [when I fail].
Burning indignation has seized me because of the wicked,Who reject Your law.
The Lord will accomplish that which concerns me;Your [unwavering] lovingkindness, O Lord, endures forever—Do not abandon the works of Your own hands.
