'Forsook' in the Bible

Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned (broke) the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.

“But Jeshurun (Israel) became fat and kicked [at God].You became fat, thick, sleek, and obstinate!Then he abandoned God who had made him,And scorned the Rock of his salvation.

The king answered the people harshly and ignored the advice which the elders had given him,

And he left everything behind and got up and began to follow Jesus [as His disciple].

You are aware of the fact that all who are in [the province of] Asia turned away and deserted me, Phygelus and Hermogenes among them.
