'Ill' in the Bible

Ill-gotten gains do not profit anyone,but righteousness rescues from death.

It goeth ill with him that is surety for another; but he that hateth suretyship is secure.

Delayed hope makes the heart ill, but fulfilled longing is a tree of life.

The spirit of a man will be his support when he is ill; but how may a broken spirit be lifted up?

“They struck me, but I did not become ill;They beat me, but I did not know it.When shall I awake?I will seek another drink.”

Or he who hears it will shame youAnd the rumor about you [and your action in court] will have no end.
