'Longed' in the Bible

Now you have indeed gone away because you longed greatly for your father’s house; but why did you steal my gods?”

The heart of King David longed to go out to Absalom; for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he was dead.

My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
