'Mortal' in the Bible
So the LORD said, "My Spirit won't remain with human beings forever, because they're truly mortal. Their lifespan will be 120 years."
For what mortal man has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the fire like we did, and lived?
Asa cried out to the LORD his God, telling him, "LORD, there is no one except for you to help between the powerful and the weak. So help us, LORD God, because we're depending on you and have come against this vast group in your name. LORD, you are our God. Let no mere mortal man defeat you!"

Can you live only as long as a human being? Or live the years of a mortal man?
Remember to magnify his awesome activities, about which mortal man has sung.

He has made it clear to you, mortal man, what is good and what the LORD is requiring from you to act with justice, to treasure the LORD's gracious love, and to walk humbly in the company of your God.
