'Pleads' in the Bible
"'Whenever a leader, by straying unintentionally, sins and violates one of the commandments of the Lord his God which must not be violated, and he pleads guilty,
"'If an ordinary individual sins by straying unintentionally when he violates one of the Lord's commandments which must not be violated, and he pleads guilty
But Joash said to all who stood against him, “Would you plead Baal’s case for him? Would you save him? Whoever pleads his case will be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him plead his own case because someone tore down his altar.”
Then the king said, “Give the first woman [who is pleading for his life] the living child, and by no means kill him. She is his mother.”
I wish that someone might arbitratebetween a man and Godjust as a man pleads for his friend.
