'Quiet' in the Bible
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls.
Those who were leading the way were sternly telling him to keep quiet; but he screamed all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
But motioning to them with his hand to be quiet and listen, he described how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to James and the brothers and sisters.” Then he left and went to another place.
So, since these things cannot be denied, you ought to be quiet and stay calm and not do anything rash.
When they heard that he was addressing them in the Hebrew dialect, they became even more quiet. And he continued,
the women should be silent in the churches, for they are not authorized to speak, but are to take a subordinate place, as the Law says.
for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
By this we will know [without any doubt] that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart and quiet our conscience before Him
