'Remember' in the Bible
For you have forgotten the God of your salvation,and you have failed to rememberthe rock of your strength;therefore you will plant beautiful plantsand set out cuttings from exotic vines.
Yahweh our God, lords other than You have ruled over us,but we remember Your name alone.
He said, “Please, Lord, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and wholeheartedly, and have done what pleases You.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
“Do not remember the past events,pay no attention to things of old.
“It is I who sweep away your transgressionsfor My own sakeand remember your sins no more.
Remember these things, Jacob,and Israel, for you are My servant;I formed you, you are My servant;Israel, you will never be forgotten by Me.
“Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame;don’t be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced.For you will forget the shame of your youth,and you will no longer rememberthe disgrace of your widowhood.
Who was it you dreaded and feared,so that you lied and didn’t remember Meor take it to heart?Have I not kept silent for such a long timeand you do not fear Me?
You welcome the one who joyfully does what is right;they remember You in Your ways.But we have sinned, and You were angry.How can we be saved if we remain in our sins?
Lord, do not be terribly angryor remember our iniquity forever.Please look—all of us are Your people!
