'Small' in the Bible
“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked them.“Seven,” they said, “and a few small fish.”
Then He told His disciples to have a small boat ready for Him, so the crowd would not crush Him.
They also had a few small fish, and when He had blessed them, He said these were to be served as well.
“‘Well done, good slave!’ he told him. ‘Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, have authority over 10 towns.’
To this very day, I have obtained help that comes from God, and I stand and testify to both small and great, saying nothing else than what the prophets and Moses said would take place—
And consider ships: Though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.
So too, though the tongue is a small part of the body, it boasts great things. Consider how large a forest a small fire ignites.
The nations were angry, but Your wrath has come. The time has comefor the dead to be judgedand to give the rewardto Your servants the prophets,to the saints, and to those who fear Your name, both small and great, and the time has come to destroythose who destroy the earth.
And he requires everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,
A voice came from the throne, saying:Praise our God,all His slaves, who fear Him,both small and great!
so that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of their riders, and the flesh of everyone, both free and slave, small and great.”
I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.
