'Sneer' in the Bible

Everyone who sees me mocks me;they sneer and shake their heads:

This is that carefree city that lived irresponsibly, that told herself, "Me first!' and, "There will be no one else!' How ruined she has become a habitat for wild animals! Everyone who passes by her will sneer at her and make obscene gestures!"

Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were sneering and ridiculing Him.

Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some began to sneer, but others said, “We shall hear you again concerning this.”

But these men sneer at anything which they do not understand; and whatever they do know by [mere] instinct, like unreasoning and irrational beasts—by these things they are destroyed.
