'Stands' in the Bible

The Lord rises to argue the caseand stands to judge the people.

But a noble person plans noble things;he stands up for noble causes.

They lift it to their shoulder and bear it along;they set it in its place, and there it stands;it does not budge from its place.They cry out to it but it doesn’t answer;it saves no one from his trouble.

Justice is turned back,and righteousness stands far off.For truth has stumbled in the public square,and honesty cannot enter.
