'Streams' in the Bible

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their reservoirs of water, that they may become blood; and there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the streams and over the pools, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’”

“He does not look at the streams,The rivers flowing with honey and curds.

“He dams up the streams from flowing,And what is hidden he brings out to the light.

When my steps were bathed in butter,And the rock poured out for me streams of oil!

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,Which yields its fruit in its seasonAnd its leaf does not wither;And in whatever he does, he prospers.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

You broke open springs and torrents;You dried up ever-flowing streams.

He brought forth streams also from the rockAnd caused waters to run down like rivers.

“Behold, He struck the rock so that waters gushed out,And streams were overflowing;Can He give bread also?Will He provide meat for His people?”

And turned their rivers to blood,And their streams, they could not drink.

My eyes shed streams of water,Because they do not keep Your law.

Restore our captivity, O Lord,As the streams in the South.

Should your springs be dispersed abroad,Streams of water in the streets?

“You are a garden spring,A well of fresh water,And streams flowing from Lebanon.”

“His eyes are like dovesBeside streams of water,Bathed in milk,And reposed in their setting.

And the Lord will utterly destroyThe tongue of the Sea of Egypt;And He will wave His hand over the RiverWith His scorching wind;And He will strike it into seven streamsAnd make men walk over dry-shod.

The canals will emit a stench,The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up;The reeds and rushes will rot away.

On every lofty mountain and on every high hill there will be streams running with water on the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Each will be like a refuge from the windAnd a shelter from the storm,Like streams of water in a dry country,Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.

Its streams will be turned into pitch,And its loose earth into brimstone,And its land will become burning pitch.

And they will spring up among the grassLike poplars by streams of water.’

“With weeping they will come,And by supplication I will lead them;I will make them walk by streams of waters,On a straight path in which they will not stumble;For I am a father to Israel,And Ephraim is My firstborn.”

My eyes run down with streams of waterBecause of the destruction of the daughter of my people.

I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land.
