'Though' in the Bible

“Though your beginning was insignificant,Yet your end will increase greatly.

“For though I were right, I could not answer;I would have to implore the mercy of my judge.

“Though I am righteous, my mouth will condemn me;Though I am guiltless, He will declare me guilty.

“Though I say, ‘I will forget my complaint,I will leave off my sad countenance and be cheerful,’

‘I should have been as though I had not been,Carried from womb to tomb.’

“Though He slay me,I will hope in Him.Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.

“Though its roots grow old in the groundAnd its stump dies in the dry soil,

“Though his loftiness reaches the heavens,And his head touches the clouds,

“Though evil is sweet in his mouthAnd he hides it under his tongue,

Though he desires it and will not let it go,But holds it in his mouth,

“Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword;And his descendants will not be satisfied with bread.

“Though he piles up silver like dustAnd prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,

Should I lie concerning my right?My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’

“She treats her young cruelly, as if they were not hers;Though her labor be in vain, she is unconcerned;

“If a river rages, he is not alarmed;He is confident, though the Jordan rushes to his mouth.
