'Troops' in the Bible
The king was enraged, so he sent out his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned down their city.
Then suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host (angelic army) praising God and saying,
And Herod with his troops having set him at nought and mocked him, having put a splendid robe upon him, sent him back to Pilate.
So the cohort and their commander and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him,
So he immediately took soldiers and centurions and ran down among them. When the people saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.
When the dispute became violent, the commander feared that Paul might be torn apart by them and ordered the troops to go down, rescue him from them, and bring him into the barracks.
When this man had been seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them, I arrived with my troops and rescued him because I learned that he is a Roman citizen.
The number of mounted troops was 200 million; I heard their number.
And the armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, [dazzling] white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Then I saw the beast and the kings and political leaders of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against Him who is mounted on the [white] horse and against His army.
