'Waters' in the Bible
He reached down from heavenand took hold of me;He pulled me out of deep waters.
He lets me lie down in green pastures;He leads me beside quiet waters.
The voice of the Lord is above the waters.The God of glory thunders—the Lord, above vast waters,
He gathers the waters of the sea into a heap;He puts the depths into storehouses.
though its waters roar and foamand the mountains quake with its turmoil.Selah
I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no footing;I have come into deep waters,and a flood sweeps over me.
Rescue me from the miry mud; don’t let me sink.Let me be rescued from those who hate meand from the deep waters.
Therefore His people turn to themand drink in their overflowing words.
You divided the sea with Your strength;You smashed the heads of the sea monsters in the waters;
The waters saw You, God.The waters saw You; they trembled.Even the depths shook.
Your way went through the seaand Your path through the great waters,but Your footprints were unseen.

Greater than the roar of many waters—the mighty breakers of the sea—the Lord on high is majestic.

You covered it with the deepas if it were a garment;the waters stood above the mountains.
At Your rebuke the waters fled;at the sound of Your thunder they hurried away—
He waters the mountains from His palace;the earth is satisfied by the fruit of Your labor.

They angered the Lord at the waters of Meribah,and Moses suffered because of them;
Others went to sea in ships,conducting trade on the vast waters.
Then the waters would have engulfed us;the torrent would have swept over us;
He sends His word and melts them;He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.
