'Let Us' in the Bible
But [when] the tenant farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance!'
Get up, let us go! Behold, the one who is betraying me is approaching!"
But the others said, "Leave [him] alone! let us see if Elijah is coming to save him."
And he said to them, "Let us go elsewhere, into the neighboring rural towns, so that I can preach there also, because I have come out for this [very] reason."
And on that day, [when it] was evening, he said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side."
And Peter answered [and] said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good [that] we are here! And let us make three shelters, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah."
But those tenant farmers said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and the inheritance will be ours!'
Get up, let us go! Behold, the one who is betraying me is approaching!"
And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put [it] on a reed, [and] gave [it] to him to drink, saying, "Leave [him] alone! Let us see if Elijah is coming to take him down."
And it happened that when the angels had departed from them into heaven, the shepherds began to say to one another, "Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has revealed to us!"
Now it happened that on one of the days both he and his disciples got into a boat, and he said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." And they set sail,
And it happened that as they were going away from him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good [for] us to be here. And let us make three shelters, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah," not knowing what he was saying.
And bring the fattened calf--kill [it] and let us eat [and] celebrate,
But [when] the tenant farmers saw him, they began to reason with one another, saying, 'This is the heir. Let us kill him so that the inheritance will become ours!'
Then after this he said to the disciples, "Let us go to Judea again."
and I am glad {for your sake} that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him."
Then Thomas (the one who is called Didymus) said to his fellow disciples, "Let us go also, so that we may die with him."
But so that the world may know that I love the Father, and just as the Father has commanded me, thus I am doing. Get up, let us go from here!
So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it apart, but cast lots for it, [to see] whose it will be," so that the scripture would be fulfilled that says, "They divided my garments among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots." Thus the soldiers did these [things].
But in order that it may not spread much [further] among the people, let us warn them to speak no more in this name {to anyone at all}."
And after some days, Paul said to Barnabas, "Come then,[let us] return [and] visit the brothers in every town in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, [to see] how they are [doing]."
And [why] not (as we are slandered, and as some affirm that we say), "Let us do evil, in order that good may come [of it]? Their condemnation is just!
The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near. Therefore let us throw off the deeds of darkness and put on the weapons of light.
Let us live decently, as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and licentiousness, not in strife and jealousy.
Therefore, let us no longer pass judgment on one another, but rather decide this: not to place a cause for stumbling or a temptation before a brother.
So then, let us pursue {what promotes peace} and {what edifies one another}.
So then, let us celebrate the feast, not with the old leaven or with the leaven of wickedness and sinfulness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
If according to a human perspective I fought wild beasts at Ephesus, what benefit [is it] to me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.
Therefore [since we] have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of body and spirit, accomplishing holiness in the fear of God.
And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, [if we] do not give up.
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all [people], and especially to those who belong to the household of faith.
Therefore as many as [are] perfect, {let us hold this opinion}, and if you think anything differently, God will reveal this also to you.
Therefore let us fear, [while there] remains a promise of entering into his rest, that none of you appear to fall short of [it].
Therefore, let us make every effort to enter into that rest, in order that no one may fall in the same pattern of disobedience.
Therefore, [because we] have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.
Therefore let us approach with confidence to the throne of grace, in order that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Therefore, leaving behind the elementary message about Christ, let us move on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and faith in God,
let us approach with a true heart in the full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled [clean] from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast to the confession of [our] hope without wavering, for the one who promised [is] faithful.
And let us think about {how to stir one another up to love} and good works,
Therefore, [since] we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, putting aside every weight and {the sin that so easily ensnares us}, let us run with patient endurance the race that has been set before us,
Therefore, [since we] are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be thankful, through which let us serve God acceptably, with awe and reverence.
Therefore through him let us offer up a sacrifice of praise {continually} to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.
Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him the glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come, and his bride has prepared herself.
