Your first ancestor sinned, and your {representatives} transgressed against me.

Your first ancestor sinned, and your {representatives} transgressed against me.

and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, [because she] was deceived, came into transgression.

{Have I concealed} my transgressions as [other] human beings to hide my iniquity in my bosom

But like Adam, they transgressed [the] covenant; there they dealt faithlessly with me.

But death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of the one who is to come. {But the gift is not like the trespass}, for if by the trespass of the one, the many died, by much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, multiply to the many. And the gift [is] not as through the one who sinned, for on the one hand, judgment from the one [sin] [led] to condemnation, but the gift, from many trespasses, [led] to justification. read more.
For if by the trespass of the one [man], death reigned through the one [man], much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ. Consequently therefore, as through one trespass [came] condemnation to all people, so also through one righteous deed [came] justification of life to all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man, the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one, the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in as a side issue, in order that the trespass could increase, but where sin increased, grace was present in greater abundance, so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed [me].

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other {wild animal} which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God indeed say, 'You shall not eat from any tree in the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat, but from the tree that is in the midst of the garden, God said, 'You shall not eat from it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die'." read more.
But the serpent said to the woman, "You shall not surely die. For God knows that on the day you [both] eat from it, then your eyes will be opened and you [both] shall be like gods, knowing good and evil."

--wives to their own husbands as to the Lord, because [the] husband is [the] head of the wife, as also Christ [is the] head of the church (he himself [being the] Savior of the body).

Now I praise you that you remember me [in] all [things], and just as I handed over to you the traditions, you hold fast to [them]. But I want you to know that Christ is the head of every man, and the man [is the] head of the woman, and [the] head of Christ [is] God. Every man who prays or prophesies [while] having [something] on [his] head dishonors his head, read more.
but every woman who prays or prophesies with uncovered head dishonors her head, for she is one and the same with the one whose [head] is shaved. For if a woman does not cover herself, let her [hair] be shorn off. But if [it is] shameful for a woman to [have her head] shorn or shaved, let her cover her [head]. For indeed a man ought not to cover his head, [because he] is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man. For man is not from woman, but woman from man. For indeed man was not created for the sake of the woman, but woman for the sake of the man. Because of this, the woman ought to have [a symbol of] authority on her head, on account of the angels. Nevertheless, neither [is] woman [anything] apart from man, nor [is] man [anything] apart from woman in the Lord. For just as the woman [is] from the man, thus also the man [is] through the woman. But all [things] [are] from God. You judge {for yourselves}: is it fitting for a woman to pray to God [with her head] uncovered? And does not nature itself teach you that a man, if he wears long hair, it is a dishonor to him? But a woman, if she wears long hair, it is her glory, because her hair is given for a covering. But if anyone is disposed to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.

A woman must learn in quietness with all submission. But I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but {to remain quiet}. For Adam was formed first, then Eve, read more.

Then Yahweh God said to the woman, "What [is] this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
