If you do not keep your promise, I warn you that you will be sinning against Jehovah. Do not doubt this, you will be punished for your sin.


The heavens will expose his guilt. The earth will rise up against him!

When hatred is covered by deceit, wickedness is revealed to the entire congregation.

Everything covered up will be revealed. Everything hidden will be made known.



Jehovah's Spirit came to me and told me to say: This is what Jehovah says: 'You are saying these things, nation of Israel. But I know what is going through your mind.



Surely then you will count my steps but not keep track of my sin.


It never enters their hearts that I will remember all this evil. But their sins surround them, and I cannot avoid seeing them.


Let no one become immoral or unspiritual like Esau. He sold his birthright for a single meal! Afterward, you know, he wanted to receive (inherit) his father's blessing. He was turned back, because he could not find any way to change what he had done. He was in tears when he looked for it.

Esau said: All right! I am about to die. What good are rights as firstborn to me? Jacob answered: First make a vow that you will give me your birthright. Esau made the vow and gave his rights as firstborn to Jacob.



Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and threw him into the den of lions. The king spoke to Daniel: Your God whom you serve will deliver you.


Then his wife Jezebel said: Are you now the ruler of Israel? Get up, eat and be happy. I will give you the garden of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Ahab said to Elijah: Have you come face to face with me, O my enemy? Elijah said: I have come to you because you have given yourself up to do evil in the eyes of Jehovah.


She kept asking him, day after day. He got sick and tired of her nagging him. So finally he told her the truth: My hair has never been cut, he said: I have been dedicated to God as a Nazirite from the time I was born. I would lose my strength if my hair were cut.


While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. Jehovah asked Cain: Where is your brother Abel? I do not know, he replied. Am I my brother's keeper? Jehovah said: What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood (life) cries out to me from the ground.


Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went away to the chief priests, that he might betray Jesus to them. They were glad to hear it and promised to give him money. He looked for ways how he might conveniently deliver Jesus to them.


They said to one another: Truly we are guilty concerning our brother, because we saw his distress when he pleaded with us, yet we would not listen. Therefore this distress has come upon us.
