What shall we say? The nations did not pursue righteousness. Yet they have attained to righteousness, the righteousness that is based on the principle of faith. But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to that law.

From there you will seek Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your being. And you will find him!

Ask and it will be given you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened for you. Everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks will have it opened.

The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. A man found the treasure and hid it again in the field. He is so filled with joy he sells everything he owns and buys the field.

The kingdom of heaven is also like a merchant seeking valuable pearls. When he found one pearl of great value, he sold all that he had, and bought it.

After they heard the king, they followed the star until it stopped over the place where the child was. They were overwhelmed with joy to see the star. Jesus told the Jews who believed him: If you dwell in my word you truly are my disciples. You will know the truth and the truth will make you free!

Make your ways known to me, O Jehovah, and teach me your paths. Make me walk (guide me) (bend me) in your truth and teach me because you are my God of salvation. I wait all day long for you.

When the Spirit of truth comes it will guide you to all truth for it will not speak from itself. It will speak the things it hears and declare to you the things that are to come.

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. It is God's desire that all men have salvation and come to the full (precise) (accurate) (correct) knowledge (Greek: epignosis: recognition, discernment) of the truth.

How precious is your loving-kindness, O God! And the children of men put their trust in the shadow of your wings.

He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor.

Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me. I am meek (mild) and humble in heart. You will have a restful life,

The man who covers his sins will not be blessed; but whoever confesses and leaves them will have mercy.

Jehovah hears my supplication for mercy. Jehovah receives my prayer!

Blessed are the merciful and compassionate, for they will receive mercy and compassion.

Jehovah helped David. He and his soldiers always won their battles.

The jailer did not worry about anything, because Jehovah was with Joseph and made him successful in all that he did.

Those who find me find life. They will receive favor from Jehovah.

Enter through the narrow gate, since the gate to destruction is wide and the road that leads to destruction is wide and many enter through it. Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way to life. Only a few put forth the effort. Yes, only a few people enter the narrow gate.

Whoever finds his life will lose it. Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

You bring it back home. You invite your friends and neighbors together to celebrate. You say, 'I am so happy I found my lost sheep.' It is the same. I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine good people who do not need to repent.

Suppose a woman with ten silver coins loses one of them. What does she do? She lights a lamp and sweeps her house. She looks carefully everywhere until she finds it. When she finds it she calls her friends and says let us celebrate. I am happy I found the lost coin. I will go to my father and say: 'Father I have sinned against God and against you. I am not fit to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired workers.' He went to his father. He was a long way from home when his father saw him. His heart filled with pity. He ran and threw his arms around his son and kissed him. The father answered, My son, you are always here. And everything I have is yours! We had to celebrate and be happy. Your brother was dead. Now he is alive! He was lost and now he has been found!'

Do not eat anything that dies by itself. You may give it to the alien who is in your town, so that he may eat it. You may sell it to a foreigner, for you are a holy people to Jehovah your God. Do not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom. Happy is the man who gains understanding.

The knowledge of wisdom is sweet to you. When you find the knowledge of wisdom there is a reward. Your hope will not fail.

If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God. He gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given to him.

Moses answered: Wait here until I find out what Jehovah commands you to do.

If any man does his will he shall know the teachings. He will know if it is from God, or whether I speak from myself.

Do not be conformed to this world (religious, social, political, and economic arrangement). But be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

If you do not keep your promise, I warn you that you will be sinning against Jehovah. Do not doubt this, you will be punished for your sin.

Jehovah sent Nathan to David. Nathan came to him and said: There were two men in a certain city. One was rich and the other was poor. The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle. But the poor man had only one little female lamb that he bought. He raised her, and she grew up in his home with his children. She would eat his food and drink from his cup. If this had not been enough, I would have given you twice as much. Why have you disobeyed my commands? Why did you do this evil thing? You had Uriah killed in battle! You let the Ammonites kill him. Then you took his wife! In every generation some of your descendants will die a violent death because you have disobeyed me and have taken Uriah's wife. I swear to you that I will cause someone from your own family to bring trouble to you. You will see it when I take your wives from you and give them to another man. He will have intercourse with them in broad daylight. You did this secretly. I will make this happen in broad daylight in front of all Israel.' David said to Nathan: I have sinned against Jehovah. Nathan replied: Jehovah has taken away your sin. You will not die. You have shown total contempt for Jehovah by this affair. Therefore the son that is born to you must die.

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. They kept back part of the money. His wife was also knowledgeable of the transaction. They brought part of the funds to the apostles. Peter said: Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the money from the land sale?read more.
While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your power? Why did you conceive this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God. Hearing these words Ananias fell down and died. Great fear came over all those who heard these things. The young men arose, covered him up, and carried him out, and buried him. About three hours later, his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. Peter said to her: Tell me whether you sold the land for such a price? And she said: Yes, we did. Then Peter said: How is it that you have agreed together to put Jehovah's Spirit to the test? Look, those who buried your husband are at the door to carry you out. Then she fell down at his feet and died. The young men came in, and found her dead. They carried her out to be buried by her husband. Great fear came upon the entire congregation who heard these things.
