Behold, happy is the man whom +God correcteth; therefore despise not the chastening of the Almighty.
My son, despise not the instruction of Jehovah, neither be weary of his chastisement;
And ye have quite forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when reproved by him;

And know in thy heart that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God chasteneth thee;
My son, despise not the instruction of Jehovah, neither be weary of his chastisement; for whom Jehovah loveth he chasteneth, even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
And ye have quite forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when reproved by him;
But being judged, we are disciplined of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
I rebuke and discipline as many as I love; be zealous therefore and repent.
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and with constant strife in his bones;
Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jah, and whom thou teachest out of thy law;
Jehovah, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
As to every branch in me not bearing fruit, he takes it away; and as to every one bearing fruit, he purges it that it may bring forth more fruit.

I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you walk upright. And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate. And if ye will not be disciplined by me through these, but walk contrary unto me, then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will smite you, even I, sevenfold for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. When I break the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied. And if for this ye hearken not to me, but walk contrary unto me, then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven-fold for your sins.

Rejoice and exult, for your reward is great in the heavens; for thus have they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Beloved, take not as strange the fire of persecution which has taken place amongst you for your trial, as if a strange thing was happening to you; but as ye have share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that in the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exultation. But the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, and they do not seek Jehovah of hosts.
In vain have I smitten your children: they received no correction. Your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
I have smitten you with blasting and mildew; the palmer-worm hath devoured the multitude of your gardens, and your vineyards, and your fig-trees and your olive-trees: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
and blasphemed the God of the heaven for their distresses and their sores, and did not repent of their works.
Why should ye be smitten any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
And he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he took it not to heart.
Jehovah, are not thine eyes upon fidelity? Thou hast smitten them, but they are not sore; thou hast consumed them, they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
I said, Only fear me, receive correction; so her dwelling shall not be cut off, howsoever I may punish her. But they rose early, they corrupted all their doings.

Forgetting God » Is forgetting his » Word

But he that fixes his view on the perfect law, that of liberty, and abides in it, being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, he shall be blessed in his doing.

But he that fixes his view on the perfect law, that of liberty, and abides in it, being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, he shall be blessed in his doing.

An ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, is a wise reprover upon an attentive ear.

Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is for them in their calamities.
The rod and reproof give wisdom; but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction; but he that regardeth reproof becometh prudent.
Open rebuke is better than hidden love.
A reproof entereth more deeply into him that hath understanding than a hundred stripes into a fool.
It is better for a man to hear the rebuke of the wise, than to hear the song of fools.
