And the Angel of the LORD found her beside a fountain of water in the wilderness: even by a well in the way to Shur.

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man, whose name was Joseph, of the house of David: and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

And the selfsame night the Angel of the LORD went out and smote, in the host of the Assyrians, a hundred and four score and five thousand. And when they were up early in the morning: behold, they were all dead corpses.

Thus the angel went forth, and slew of the Assyrians host, a hundred and eighty five thousand. And when men arose up early, at Jerusalem: Behold, all lay full of dead bodies.

Let them be confounded, and put to shame, that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion, that imagine mischief for me. Let them be as the dust before the wind, and the angel of the LORD scattering them. Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the LORD to persecute them.
