For as many as are the promises of God, in him they are Yes. And so through him we speak our Amen to the glory of God.
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray, then, in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
And the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you that he will bring about justice for them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
Watch at all times, and pray always that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if any one is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.
In that day you will ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.
Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.'
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches on all who call upon him.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, for anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
