Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.

So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.

And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, "O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will."

And going a little farther, he fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me; yet not what I will, but what you will."

All these with one mind devoted themselves to prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

and on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to the riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had come together.

When he had said this, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

For truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. And now, Lord, look upon their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of your holy servant Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place where they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.

Then after they had fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

And behold, two blind men sitting by the roadside, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!" The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be quiet; but they cried out all the more, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!"
