Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father.

if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a minister.

For you were straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me; yet not what I will, but what you will."

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,

that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner man,

for our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power and love and self-discipline.

that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner man,

God did extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.

and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

And he said to them, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

You know what has happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Then he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and he was teaching them on the Sabbath. And they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority. And in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice, read more.
"Ha! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you arethe Holy One of God!" But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him without doing him any harm. And they were all amazed and said to one another, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!"

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep, and my sheep know me just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice. So there shall be one flock and one shepherd. read more.
For this reason my Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from my Father."

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you, as you have given him authority over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to all those you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

And he called to him the twelve, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

Then he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. And he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth."

The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name." And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. read more.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power and love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify of our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

Pilate said to him, "You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you, and power to crucify you?" Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered me to you has the greater sin."

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit who dwells in you.

But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace which was given me by the working of his power.

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."

And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

For he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God for you.

and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of his might

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

But if I cast out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

He is the radiance of his glory and the exact representation of his being, and upholds all things by the word of his power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong, God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are, so that no flesh may boast before God.

who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels and authorities and powers subject to him.

which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

But Jesus answered them, "My Father is working still, and I am working." Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, the Son also does.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authoritiesall things were created through him and for him.

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world did not know him.

All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"

"You are worthy, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

saying, "We give thanks to you, O Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.

And Stephen, full of grace and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.

And they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.

And when Jesus had finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth."

And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high."

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth." And after he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them through him.

And he put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things for the church,

The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was rescued from the lion's mouth.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Therefore he is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
