and every day either in the temple or in private houses they continued to preach and proclaim Jesus to be the Christ.
the twelve therefore assembled all the disciples, and said, it is not fit that we should leave the word of God, to mind what relates to your meals.
if so be you have heard of the charge, which God has graciously dispens'd to me for you Gentiles; having revealed to me the secret, I now mention'd in short, by the reading whereof you may perceive how far I am let into the secret of Christ.read more.

this proposition pleased the whole assembly: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the holy spirit, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch. these they presented to the apostles: who after prayer gave them imposition of hands.
