Be not deceived. Evil communications corrupt good manners.

And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.

And we know, that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose.

But if thou dost that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is the servant of God, an avenger for wrath against him that doth evil.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved through his life.

I can do all things through Christ strengthening me.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, strifes, divisions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before (as I have also told you in time past) that they who practise such things, shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him. Now the Jews feast of tabernacles was nigh. His brethren therefore said to him, Depart hence and go into Judea, that thy disciples there also may see the works which thou dost.read more.
For no man doth any thing in secret, but desireth to be publickly known: if thou dost these things, shew thyself to the world. (For neither did his brethren believe on him.) Jesus saith to them, My time is not yet come: your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you, but me it hateth; because I testify of it, that its works are evil. Go ye up to the feast; I go not up to this feast yet; because my time is not yet fully come. Having said these things to them, he abode in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were privately. Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? And there was much murmuring among the multitude concerning him: for some said, He is a good man; others said, Nay; but he seduceth the people. However, no man spake openly of him, for fear of the Jews.

And yet ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh to you as to sons, My son, despise not thou the chastning of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him. For whom the Lord loveth, he chastneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastning, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he, whom his father chastneth not?read more.
But if ye are without chastning, of which all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons. Moreover we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we reverenced them: Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they, verily, for a few days chastned us as they thought good: but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness. Now all chastning for the present is assuredly not joyous, but grievous; yet afterwards it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness to them that are exercised thereby.

And all drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank out of the spiritual rock which followed them; and that rock was Christ) Yet, with the most of them, God was not well-pleased; for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were for our example, that we might not desire evil things, as they desired. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents. Now all these things happened to them for examples, and they are written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages are come. Therefore let him that standeth, take heed, lest he fall.
