Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication,
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
and I should mourn over many of them who had sinned before, and have not repented of the uncleanness, and fornication, and lasciviousness, which they have committed.
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cease not from sin; beguiling unstable souls, having hearts exercised with covetousness, accursed children:
Your gold and silver is cankered, and the canker of them shall be a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire: ye have laid up treasure in the last days. Behold the hire of your labourers who have reaped your fields, which is kept back by you, crieth: and the cries of them who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabbaoth. Ye have lived delicately on earth, and been wanton; ye have cherished your hearts, as in a day of sacrifice.
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole families, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of filthy gain.
Who being past feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Amen. Therefore God gave them up to vile affections; for even their women changed the natural use to that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their lust toward each other, men with men working filthiness, and receiving in themselves the just recompence of their error. But know this, that in the last days grievous times will come. But the end of all things is at hand; be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart. But if thy right eye cause thee to offend, pluck it out and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly desires,
Brethren, ye have been called to liberty: only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
All things are lawful for me; but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me; but all things edify not. Let no one seek his own, but every one another's welfare.
Do nothing through strife or vain-glory, but in lowliness of mind, esteem each the others better than themselves. Look not every one at his own things, but every one also at the things of others.
