My brethren, count it all joy, when ye fall into divers temptations, Knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have it's perfect work,

That the trial of your faith, which is much more precious than gold, (that perisheth, tho' it be tried with fire) may be found unto praise, and honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

Happy is the man that endureth temptation: for when he hath been proved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

And lest I should be lifted up with the abundance of the revelations, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to buffet me, lest I should be lifted up. Concerning this, I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the strength of Christ may rest upon me.

Jesus then lifting up his eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming to him, saith to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? (But this he said, trying him; for he himself knew what he intended to do.)

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away, for she crieth after us. Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answering said, It is not right, to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. And she said, True, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table. And Jesus answering said to her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell at his feet, (The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation) and besought him to cast the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, Let the children first be satisfied; for it is not right to take the childrens bread and cast it to the dogs.read more.
She answered and said to him, True, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said to her, For this saying, go: the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And going to her house, she found the devil gone out and her daughter lying on the bed.

And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Examine yourselves, whether ye are in the faith: prove yourselves. Do ye not know yourselves? That Jesus Christ is in you? unless ye are reprobates.

But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness, Where your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
