And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not: and when thou art returned, strengthen thy brethren.
Brethren, if any one among you err from the truth, and one convert him, Let him know, that he who converteth a sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
We also are men of like passions with you, and preach to you, to turn from these vanities unto the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are therein: Who, in times past, suffered all nations to walk in their own ways:
For they themselves declare concerning us, what manner of entrance to you we had, and how ye turned from idols to God, to serve the living and true God, And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he hath raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivereth us from the wrath to come.
Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
But first to them at Damascus and at Jerusalem, and through all the country of Judea, and then to the Gentiles I declare, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
And the hand of the Lord was with them; and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.
Therefore if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation: the old things are passed way; behold, all things are become new:
And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
And we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world is crucified to me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision is any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
Know ye not, that as many of us have been baptized into Jesus Christ, have been baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.
Buried with him in baptism, by which ye are also risen with him, through the faith of the operation of God, who raised him from the dead.
If ye then are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ sitteth at the right-hand of God. Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
And said, Verily I say to you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, fidelity, Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh with its affections and desires.
I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you, to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye are called,
For ye were once darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of light; (The fruit of the light is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth:) Searching what is acceptable to the Lord.read more.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly desires, which war against the soul, Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that whereas they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
For ye are all sons of God by faith in Jesus Christ. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.read more.
