Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly desires,

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

Therefore laying aside all the filthiness and superfluity of wickedness, receive with meekness the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called to day, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin:

Take heed therefore to yourselves and to the whole flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I approve not; for what I would, I do not, but what I hate, that I do. If then I do what I would not, I consent to the law, that it is good.read more.

Wherefore take to you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. What shall we say then? We will continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we who are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that as many of us have been baptized into Jesus Christ, have been baptized into his death?read more.

They that are after the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. All scripture is inspired of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing; but the flesh is weak.

There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above your ability, but will with the temptation make also a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

let us hold fast our profession, For we have not an high-priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities, but who was in all points tempted like as we are: yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I speak as a man, because of the weakness of your flesh. As ye have presented your members servants to uncleanness and iniquity, unto iniquity, so now present your members servants of righteousness, unto holiness.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation: For it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
