but one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water. And he that saw it testifieth it, and his testimony is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye may believe. For these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled, Not a bone of Him shall be broken. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on Him whom they have pierced.

And after they had fixed Him to the cross, they parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

And when they had fastened Him to the cross, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what each of them should take. And it was the third hour, when they fixed Him on the cross:

And when they were come to the place which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him and the malefactors: one on his right hand and the other on his left.

And he bought fine linen, and took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock; and rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.

And there came also Nicodemus (who at first came to Jesus by night) and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes about an hundred pound weight. So they took the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.read more.
Now there was a garden in the place where He was crucified; and in the garden a new sepulchre, in which none had ever yet been laid. There therefore they laid Jesus, because of the Jews preparation-day; for the sepulchre was near.
