(as ye yourselves also know,) Him being given up by the determinate counsel and fore-knowlege of God ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.

but thus hath God accomplished those things which He had foretold by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer.

And when they were departed, behold an angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Rise and take the child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and continue there, untill I tell thee to return: for Herod will seek the child to destroy Him.

And the Lord said to Paul by a vision in the night, "Fear not, but speak: and be not silent: for I am with thee, and no man shall lay hands on thee to hurt thee; for I have much people in this city."

However, I now exhort you to be of good courage: for there shall be no loss of any life among you, but only of the ship: for there stood by me this night an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, saying, Fear not, Paul, thou must be brought before Cesar, and behold God hath given thee all that are sailing with thee.

Watch therefore, for ye know not at what hour your Lord cometh: but this ye know, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broke open: therefore be ye also ready;

And now, being constrained by the spirit, behold I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will befal me there:

(though ye know not what will be on the morrow; for what is your life? a vapor, which appeareth for a little while, and then vanisheth away:) whereas ye ought to say,

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain: and if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: so that I know not what to chuse; for I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ, which is much preferable:

yea and every one who hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall receive an hundred-fold, and shall inherit eternal life.

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundred-fold: now in this time indeed, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands with persecutions; but in the world to come life everlasting.

And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive manifold more even in this life, and in the world to come life everlasting.

And I account the sufferings of this present time not worthy to be set against the glory that shall be revealed to us. For the earnest expectation of the world is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God: (for the world was subjected to vanity, not willingly, but through him who made it subject:)read more.
in hope that they also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole world groaneth, and doth as it were travail in pain together even to this day. And not only others, but those also who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen, is not hope; for what any one sees, how doth he yet hope for? but if we hope for what we see not, then we wait for it with patience.

And when the sovereign Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive an unfading crown of glory.

Beloved, we are now the children of God, but it doth not yet appear what we shall be: we know however, that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

to an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

and was carried by angels to Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried.

And Jesus answered him, I assure thee, thou shalt be with me this day in paradise.

In my Father's house there are many mansions; if not, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And as I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself, that where I am, ye may also be.

For we know that if our earthly house, which is but as a tent, were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which ye have heard before in the word of truth, that is the gospel;

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with acclamation, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are living and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we for ever be with the Lord.

who said, Ye men of Galilee, why do ye stand gazing up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in the manner ye have seen Him going into heaven.

and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming as on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory:

and then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds, with great power and glory.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming, as on a cloud, with power and great glory.

from whence also we expect the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ: who will change our vile body,

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with acclamation, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

But as to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto Him,

so Christ, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear the second time without sin, to those who are waiting for Him, unto salvation.

Be ye also patient, establish your hearts; for the coming of the Lord is near.

in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet (for the trumpet shall sound) and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed:

Wonder not at this; for the time is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth, they that have done good to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil to the resurrection of damnation.

And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that of all that He hath given me, I should lose none, but should raise them up at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one who looketh attentively at the Son, and so believeth on Him, may have eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

having hope in God, (which they themselves also expect) that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

knowing that He, who raised up the Lord Jesus, will raise up us also by Jesus, and present us with you.

And I saw thrones, and persons sat on them, and judgement was given to them: and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God; and who had not worshipped the beast, nor his image, and received not his mark upon their forehead, and on their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again till the thousand years be finished.

For we must all appear before the tribunal of Christ, that every one may receive for the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it were good or bad.

For the Son of man will come in the glory of his father, with his angels, and then he will recompense every one according to his practice.

So when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon his glorious throne: and all nations shall be assembled before Him; and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats:

And as it is appointed to men once to die, and after this the judgement;

But the heavens and the earth, that now are, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire on the day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men.

Herein is love perfected with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement; for as He is, we also are in this world.

And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every one according to their works.

And then the wicked one shall be detected, whom the Lord will destroy by the breath of his mouth, and abolish by the brightness of his coming:

Seeing then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself in like manner partook of them; that by death He might destroy him that had the empire of death, that is, the devil:

They shall hunger no more, nor thirst any more, nor shall the sun nor any violent heat fall upon them.

The nations were enraged, but thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and to give a reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those that fear thy name, small and great; and to destroy them that destroy the earth.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who had wrought signs before him, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were slain with the sword of Him that sitteth upon the horse, the sword that cometh out of his mouth: and all the fowls of heaven were satiated with their flesh.

And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Anointed, and He shall reign for ever and ever.

Then will be the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God even the Father; when He shall have abolished all rule, and all authority, and power.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth passed away, and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, descending from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be his people, and God himself, even their God, will be with them.read more.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be death no more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Brethren, I count not myself to have attained it: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to those before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God. Mind the things above, not those on the earth.

Having therefore so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every incumbrance, and the sin that easily besets us, and run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the leader and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
