Yahweh [is] great and very worthy of praise in the city of our God, in his {holy mountain}. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] {Mount Zion}, {in the far north}, [the] city of [the] great king. God [is] in her citadels; he is known as a [high] stronghold.

[There is] a river whose streams gladden the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High. God [is] in the midst of her; she will not be made to totter. God will help her {at daybreak}.

For he was expecting the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder [is] God.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

For here we do not have a permanent city, but we seek the [city] that is to come.
