But he answered [and] said to the one who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Behold my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father [who is] in heaven, he is my brother and sister and mother."
For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in the midst of them."
"Whoever welcomes one of the young children such as these in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but the one who sent me."
But he answered [and] said to them, "These are my mother and my brothers--the ones who hear the word of God and do [it].
And they said to one another, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explaining the scriptures to us?"
Then Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves!
The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood resides in me and I in him.
On that day you will know that I [am] in my Father, and you [are] in me, and I [am] in you. The one who has my commandments and keeps them--that one is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, why is it that you are going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?"read more.
Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves me he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and {will take up residence with him}.
Remain in me, and I in you. Just as the branch is not able to bear fruit from itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither [can] you, unless you remain in me. "I am the vine; you [are] the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him--this one bears much fruit, for apart from me you are not able to do anything.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.
that they all may be one, just as you, Father, [are] in me and I [am] in you, that they also may be in us, in order that the world may believe that you sent me. And the glory that you have given to me, I have given to them, in order that they may be one, just as we [are] one-- I in them, and you in me, in order that they may be completed in one, so that the world may know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.
And I made known to them your name, and will make [it] known, in order that the love [with] which you loved me may be in them, and I [may be] in them."
So then, my brothers, you also were brought to death with respect to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to the one who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.
Consequently, [there is] now no condemnation for those [who are] in Christ Jesus.
But if Christ [is] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin, but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.
and if children, also heirs--heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together [with him] so that we may also be glorified together [with him].
Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, [although you] were a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them and became a sharer of the root of the olive tree's richness,
in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ, and {individually} members of one another,
God [is] faithful, by whom you were called to fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Food [is] for the stomach, and the stomach for food, but God will abolish {both of them}. Now the body [is] not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God both raised up the Lord and will raise us up by his power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Therefore, shall I take away the members of Christ [and] make [them] members of a prostitute? May it never be!
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
For just as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of the body, [although they] are many, are one body, thus also Christ.
Now you are the body of Christ, and members {of it individually},
For I am jealous [for] you with a godly jealousy, because I promised you [in marriage] to one husband, to present [you] [as] a pure virgin to Christ.
Test yourselves [to see] if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ [is] in you, unless you are unqualified?
to whom God wanted to make known what [is] the glorious wealth of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,
because God did not appoint us for wrath, but for the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live at the same time with him.
For both the one who sanctifies and the ones who are sanctified [are] all from one, for which reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers,
The one who says [that he] resides in him ought also to walk just as that one walked.
[As for] you, what you have heard from the beginning must remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
And now, little children, remain in him, so that whenever he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
Everyone who resides in him does not sin. Everyone who sins has neither seen him nor known him.
And the one who keeps his commandments resides in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he resides in us: by the Spirit whom he has given to us.
The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, in order that we may know the one who is true, and we are in the one who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life.
Everyone who goes too far and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. The one who remains in the teaching--this person has both the Father and the Son.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, indeed I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.
