But Jeshurun (the upright one) waxed fat and kicked; (thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou hast covered thyself) and forsook the God who made him and lightly esteemed the strong One of his saving health.
The God of Israel dictated unto me, the strong One of Israel spoke): He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
I will say unto God, My rock, why hast thou forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Ye shall have a song, as in the night in which the Passover is kept and gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute to come into the mountain of the LORD to the mighty One of Israel.
Art thou not from the beginning, O LORD my God, my Holy One? we shall not die, O LORD, thou hast ordained him for judgment, and thou hast established him strong for chastisement.
For what God is there except the LORD? Or who is a Strong One, except our God?
For who is God except the LORD? or who is a refuge except our God?
There is none holy as the LORD, for there is none beside thee; neither is there any strong One like our God.
Do not fear, neither be afraid; have I not caused thee to hear from of old and declared unto thee beforehand that which was to come? Then ye are my witnesses that there is no God but me, and there is no Strong One that I do not know.
For their strong one is not as our strong One, and even our enemies are judges of this.
Blessed be the LORD my strength, who trains my hands for the battle and my fingers for the war:
The strong One, whose work is perfect: for all his ways are right; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and upright is he.
to show that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
In God is my saving health and my glory; the rock of my strength and my refuge is in God.
Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent unto me lest, if thou be silent unto me, I become like those that go down into the grave.

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in JAH, the LORD is the strength of the ages:
I will say of the LORD, He is my hope and my fortress: my God; in him will I secure myself.
My mercy and my fortress; my high tower and my deliverer; my shield and he in whom I trust, who subdues my people under me.
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the time of the affliction; Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.
God is my Strong One; in him will I trust: he is my shield and the horn of my saving health; my defence and my refuge; my saviour, who shall save me from violence.
The LORD is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Tau But the salvation of the righteous is the LORD; he is their strength in the time of trouble.
For thou art the God of my strength; why dost thou cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Behold, this is the man that did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

O come, let us bring joy unto the LORD; let us sing with joy unto the rock of our saving health.

And have ye not read this scripture: The stone which the builders rejected is placed as the head of the corner;
But he beheld them and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Therefore, also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion the chief corner stone, chosen, precious; and he that believes on him shall not be confounded. Unto you, therefore, who believe he is precious; but unto those who are disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Thou didst see until a stone was cut out, not with hands, which smote the image upon its feet that were of iron and baked clay and broke them to pieces. Then was the iron, the baked clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold broken to pieces together and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away that no place was found for them again; and the stone that smote the image was made into a great mountain that filled the whole earth.
And in the days of those kings the God of heaven shall raise up a kingdom which eternally shall never become corrupted, and this kingdom shall not be left to another people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. In the manner which thou didst see that out of the mountain was cut one stone, not with hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has shown the king what shall come to pass hereafter; and the dream is true, and its interpretation sure.
And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Why? Because they followed it not by faith but, as it were, by the works (of the law); therefore, they stumbled on the stumblingstone; as it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock that will cause some to fall, and whosoever believes in him shall not be ashamed.
coming unto whom (is the living Stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious), ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, well pleasing to God by Jesus, the Christ. Therefore, also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion the chief corner stone, chosen, precious; and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.read more.
Unto you, therefore, who believe he is precious; but unto those who are disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, even to those who stumble at the word, not obeying in that for which they were ordained.
