This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down, and we know that his testimony is true.

how can we escape, if we pay no attention at all to a salvation that is so great? This is so because it was first proclaimed by the Lord Himself, and then it was proved to us to be valid by the very men who heard Him themselves, while God continued to confirm their testimony with signs, marvels, and various sorts of wonder-works, and with gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed in accordance with His will.

So, as a joint-elder with them, a witness of the suffering borne by Christ, and a sharer of the glory that is to be uncovered, I beg the elders among you,

We have seen and now testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world.

and not for a single day did they stop teaching in the temple square and in private houses the good news of Jesus the Christ.

But how can people call upon One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in One about whom they have not heard? And how can people hear without someone to preach to them? And how can men preach unless they are sent to do so? As the Scripture says, "How beautiful are the feet of men who bring the glad news of His good things!"

Now let me remind you, brothers, of the essence of the good news which I proclaimed to you, which you accepted, on which you now are standing, and through which you are to be saved, unless your faith at first was spurious.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send to represent me, will teach you everything Himself, and cause you to remember everything that I have told you.

"When the Helper comes whom I will send from the Father to you, the Spirit of truth that comes from the Father, He will testify to me.

"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot grasp it now. But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into the whole truth, for He will not speak on His own authority but will tell what is told Him, and will announce to you the things that are to come. Everything that the Father has is mine; this is why I have told you, 'He will take the things that are mine and tell them to you.'

He is the One who came through water and blood -- Jesus Christ; not through water only but through water and blood. The Spirit also testifies to this, because the Spirit is truth.
