For, because He was dissatisfied with His people, He said: "'See; the time is coming,' says the Lord, 'When I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,
but was reproved for his offense; a dumb animal spoke with a human voice and stopped the prophet's madness.
And Jesus reproved the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was cured that very moment.
Then Jesus, because He saw that a crowd was rushing up to Him, reproved the foul spirit and said to it, "You deaf and dumb spirit, get out of him, I charge you, and never get into him again."
Even while the boy was coming to Him, the demon dashed him down and convulsed him, but Jesus reproved the foul spirit and cured the boy and gave back to his father.
Even demons came out of many people, shrieking and saying, "You are the Son of God!" But He reproved them and would not let them speak, because they knew that He was the Christ.
But He turned and glanced at His disciples and reproved Peter by saying, "Get out of my way, Satan, for this view of yours is not from God but from men!"
But He turned and said to Peter, "Get out of my way, you Satan! You are a hindrance to me, for this view of yours is not from God but from men."
Later on He appeared to the Eleven themselves while they were at table, and reproved them for their lack of faith and their stubbornness, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had been raised from the dead.
And Peter took Him aside and began to chide Him, as he said, "Heaven shield you, my Lord! This must never be your lot!"
And without any reserve He was telling them this fact. So Peter took Him aside and began to reprove Him for it.
After that some little children were brought to Him, for Him to lay His hands on them and pray for them, but His disciples reproved those who brought them.
And people were bringing little children to Him for Him to touch them, but the disciples reproved them for it.
Now some people were bringing even their babies to Him to have Him touch them, but the disciples, when they saw it, reproved them for it.
But Herod the governor, because he was repeatedly reproved by him for Herodias his brother's wife, and for all the wicked deeds that Herod had done,
But the other one reproved him and said, "Do you not fear even God when you are suffering the same penalty? And we are suffering it justly, for we are getting our deserts for what we have done, but this man has done nothing wrong."
"Again, if your brother wrongs you, go and while alone with him show him the wrong. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother.
"Be always looking out for another. If your brother ever sins, reprove him, and if he repents, forgive him.
Brothers, if anybody is caught in the very act of doing wrong, you who are spiritual, in the spirit of gentleness, must set him right; each of you continuing to think of yourself, for you may be tempted too.
We are proclaiming Him, warning everyone and teaching everyone with ample wisdom, in order to present to God everyone mature through union with Christ.
Let the message of Christ continue to live in you in all its wealth of wisdom; keep on teaching it to one another and training one another in it with thankfulness, in your hearts singing praise to God with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.
Never reprove an older man, but always appeal to him as a father. Treat younger men like brothers,
All Scripture is inspired by God, and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in doing what is right,
preach the message, stay at it in season and out of season; convince, reprove, exhort people with perfect patience as a teacher.
and a man who continues to cling to the trustworthy message as he was taught it, so that he may be competent to encourage others with wholesome teaching and to convict those who oppose him.
You must continue teaching this, and continue exhorting and reproving people, with full authority. Let no one belittle you.
My brothers, if any one of you has wandered away from the truth, and someone brings him back, you may be sure that whoever brings a sinner back from his evil ways will save the man's soul from death, and cover up a multitude of sins.
and you have forgotten the encouragement which is addressed to you as sons: "My son, refrain from thinking lightly of the discipline the Lord inflicts, and giving up when you are corrected by Him.
For He disciplines everyone He loves, and chastises every son whom He heartily receives."
The people whom I dearly love, I always reprove and discipline. So keep on being earnest and once for all repent.
