He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bride-groom who stands and hears him greatly rejoices because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy, therefore, has been made full.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

Verily, verily, I say to you, that ye will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice: ye will be made sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. A woman, when she is in travail, has sorrow, because her hour came; but, when she bears the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, because of the joy that a man was born into the world. And in that day ye will ask nothing of Me: verily, verily, I say to you, if ye shall ask anything of the Father, He will give it you in My name. Hitherto ye asked nothing in My name; ask, and ye will receive, that your joy may be made full.

But now I come to Thee, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy made full in themselves.

rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; persevering in prayer;

for the Kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he that in these things serves Christ, is well-pleasing to God, and approved by men.

Rejoice always: pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is God's will in Christ Jesus respecting you.

Even as the Father loved Me, I also loved you; abide in My love. If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. These things have I spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

"Happy are ye, when they shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and exult; because great is your reward in Heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.

"Happy are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from themselves, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. "Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy; for, behold, your reward is great in Heaven; for, after the same manner, were their fathers wont to do to the prophets.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at their homes, were partaking of food in gladness and singleness of heart; praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to them daily those who were being saved.

And some, coming down from Judaea, were teaching the brethren, "Unless ye be circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved." And, when Paul and Barnabas had no little dissension and discussion with them, they arranged that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders, concerning this question. They, therefore, having been sent forward by the assembly, went through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the gentiles; and they were causing great joy to all the brethren.

that I may be delivered from the unbelieving in Judea, and that my ministry to Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints; that, coming to you in joy through the will of God, I may with you be refreshed.

And I wrote this very thing, that I might not, when I came, have sorrow from those of whom I ought to have joy; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

But even if I am offered as a libation upon the sacrifice and ministry of your faith, I rejoice, and I rejoice with you all; and in the same thing do ye also rejoice, and rejoice with me.

in which ye exult, though now, for a little while, if necessary, made sorrowful in manifold temptations;

For your obedience reached unto all. I rejoice, therefore, over you; but I wish you to be wise as to that which is good, but simple as to evil.

but I am constrained by the two; having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for it is far better; but to abide in flesh is more needful for you. And, having become assured of this, I know that I shall abide, and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,read more.
