We ought to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because your faith is growing exceedingly, and the love of each one of you abounds toward one another;
Attend to these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your progress may be manifest to all.
and, even for this very reason, adding all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in virtue, knowledge; and in knowledge, continence; and in continence, patience; and in patience, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, unless ye abide in Me.
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him, Who is the Head, Christ;
I beseech you, therefore, brethren, through the mercies of God, to present, your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your rational service; and he not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.
but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill its desires.
Become imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
for as many of you as were immersed into Christ, did put on Christ.

He who says that he is abiding in Him ought himself also to walk even as He walked.
I wrote to you, fathers, because ye have known Him Who is from the beginning. I wrote to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and ye have conquered the evil one.
Watch, and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit, indeed, is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Defraud not one the other, except by consent for a Season, that ye may have leisure for prayer, and may be together again, that Satan tempt you not because of your incontinency.
A temptation has not taken you, except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able, but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
For this reason, I also, no longer enduring it, sent, that I might know your faith, lest by some means the tempter tempted you, and our labor should be in vain.
for in that He Himself hath suffered, being tempted, He is able to succor those who are tempted.
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall in with manifold temptations; knowing that the proving of your faith establishes patience.
Because you kept the word of My patience. I also will keep you from the hour of trial, which is about to come upon the whole inhabited earth, to try those who dwell upon the earth.
Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold on the eternal life, to which you were called, and confessed a good confession before many witnesses.
For chastening endure ye: God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chastens not? But, if ye are without chastisement, of which all have become partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore, we used to have the fathers of our flesh as chasteners, and we reverenced them: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of our spirits, and live?read more.
For they, indeed, for a few days were chastening us, according to what seemed good to them; but He for our profit, that we may partake of His holiness. Watch, stand fast in the faith; be men; be strong.
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.
Do you, therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
And be not drunken with wine, in which is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye will not fulfill the desire of the flesh. For the flesh covets against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary one to the other, that ye may not do the things which ye wish. But, if ye are being led by the Spirit, ye are not under law.
because our Gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; even as ye know what manner of men we became toward you, for your sake.
I charge you before God, and Christ Jesus, Who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His Kingdom, preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For there will be a time when they will not endure the healthful teaching; but, having itching ears, they will for themselves heap up teachers according to their own desires;
For even when, on account of the time, ye ought to be teachers, ye again have need that some one teach you the first elements of the oracles of God, and have become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food;
as new-born babes, long ye for the spiritual, unadulterated milk, that thereby ye may grow unto salvation,
And the child was growing, and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, continence; against such there is no law.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever.
But we all, with unveiled face, reflecting as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transfigured into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
And He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man??o the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ;read more.
