and they were constantly attending the teaching of the apostles and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a partaking of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a partaking of the body of Christ?

and, having given thanks, He broke it, and said, "This is My body which is for you; this do in remembrance of Me."

for, in your eating, each one takes his own supper before others; and one is hungry, and another is drunken!

And, after eight days, again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace be to you!"

Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover was sacrificed, even, Christ; therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

nor do ye consider that it is expedient for you, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not."

Now, before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour came that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

If anyone loves not the Lord, let him be accursed, when the Lord cometh!

Therefore, whosoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body, and blood of the Lord. But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup; for he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the body.read more.
For this cause, many among you are weak and sick, and not a few sleep. But, if we discerned ourselves, we would not be judged; but, being judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
