Thou lovedst righteousness, and hatedst iniquity; therefore, God, Thy God, anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows";
how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power; Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the Devil; because God was with Him.
And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld His glory??lory as of the Only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.
He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He Who seeketh the glory of Him Who sent Him the Same is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One: and we are in the True One??n His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life.
I can of Myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous; because I seek not My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me.
And he said, 'The God of our fathers appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear a voice out of His mouth;
Him Who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf, that we may become God's righteousness in Him.
For such a High Priest was befitting us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Jesus saith to them, "My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me, and to finish His work.
If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
And He Who sent Me is with Me. He hath not left Me alone; because I am always doing the things that please Him."
Wherefore, it behooved Him in all things to be made like His brethren, that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people;
but for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me, as chief, Christ Jesus might show forth all His longsuffering for an example to those about to believe on Him unto eternal life.
Now, before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour came that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his soul for his friends.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might become rich.
For who is greater, he who reclines at table, or he who serves? Is not he who reclines? But I am in the midst of you as One Who serveth.
and, being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
saying, "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Thine, be done."
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" And, dividing His garments among them, they cast lots.
because whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first born among many brethren.
