Jesus saith to them, "My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me, and to finish His work.

If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

Faithful is He Who calleth you, Who also will do it.

And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld His glory??lory as of the Only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One: and we are in the True One??n His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life.

He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He Who seeketh the glory of Him Who sent Him the Same is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Now, before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour came that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

And Jesus was going about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people. And the report of Him went forth into all Syria; and they brought to Him all having ailments, afflicted with manifold diseases and torments, demoniacs, and lunatics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to he tempted by the Devil. And, having fasted forty days and forty nights, He afterwards hungered. And the Tempter, having come near, said to Him, "If Thou art God's Son, speak, that these stones may become loaves of bread." read more.
But He, answering, said, "It has been written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'" Then the Devil takes Him into the holy city, and placed Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and says to Him, "If Thou art a Son of God, cast Thyself down; for it has been written, 'He shall give His angels charge concerning Thee; and on their hands they shall bear Thee up; lest at any time Thou shouldest dash Thy foot against a stone.'" Jesus said to him, "Again it has been written, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'" Again the Devil takes Him into an exceedingly high mountain, and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and he said to Him, "All these things will I give Thee, if, falling down, Thou wilt worship me." Then Jesus saith to him, "Depart, Satan; for it has been written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.'"

but for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me, as chief, Christ Jesus might show forth all His longsuffering for an example to those about to believe on Him unto eternal life.

And, behold, one, having come near, said to Him, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;

For such a High Priest was befitting us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Wherefore, it behooved Him in all things to be made like His brethren, that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people;

saying, "I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You may see to that."

because whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first born among many brethren.

And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" And, dividing His garments among them, they cast lots.

saying, "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Thine, be done."
