You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you may go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit may remain; that whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he may give you.

Then he said to his disciples: The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

And after these things, the Lord appointed seventy others, also, and sent them, two and two, before his face, into every city and place to which he himself was about to go. He said, therefore, to them: The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that he send out laborers into his harvest. Go; behold, I send you as lambs in the midst of wolves.

And he that reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for life eternal; that he that sows, and he that reaps, may rejoice together. For in this is the saying true, One sows and another reaps. I have sent you to reap that on which you bestowed no labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.

And he called his twelve disciples to him, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure dis eases:

And he called to him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they might cast them out, and care every disease and every infirmity.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying: All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me.

And he called to him the twelve, and began to send them out, two and two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits.

And these signs shall attend those who believe. In my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and, if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

And the seventy returned with joy, and said: Lord, even the demons are subject to us through thy name. And he said to them: I saw Satan, like lightning from heaven, falling. Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Then Jesus said to them again: Peace be to you. As my Father has sent me, so I send you.

As thou hast sent me into the world, so I send them into the world;

But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses for me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the most distant part of the earth.

And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you. But do you remain in the city of Jerusalem, till you be clothed with power from on high.

And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them: Receive the Holy Spirit.

And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God with boldness.

God also bearing testimony with them by signs and wonders, and by various mighty deeds, and by distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.

Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, immersing them (the disciples) into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo; I am with you all the days, even to the end of the age.

Then they that gladly received his word were immersed, and on that day there were added to them about three thou sand souls. And they attended constantly to the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.

and saying: Men, why are you doing these things? We also are human beings, with passions like your own, and we preach the gospel to you, that you may turn from these vanities to the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them;

And a certain woman, named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, heard; whose heart the Lord opened to attend to the things that were spoken by Paul. And when she and her household had been immersed, she be sought us, saying: If you judge me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and make it your home. And she con strained us.

But Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord, with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing, believed, and were immersed.

How, then, shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, unless they be sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring joyous news of good things!

(the life also was manifested, and we have seen, and do testify, and declare to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us;) that which we have seen and heard, we declare it to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

and he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

And as you go, preach, saying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Cure the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

And they departed, and went through every village, preaching the gospel, and per forming cures everywhere.

But I esteem this a matter of no importance, nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry that I have received from the Lord Jesus, to bear full testimony to the gospel of the grace of God.

But Philip was found at Azotus, and, passing through, he preached the gospel in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that, without ceasing, I make mention of you,

so earnestly desirous have I been to preach the gospel, not where Christ had been named, lest I should build on another man's foundation;

to which I have been appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles;

The God of our fathers has raised up Jesus, whom you slew by hanging him on a tree. Him has God exalted to his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, in order to give to Israel repentance and remission of sins: and we are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit also, whom God has given to them that obey him.

You are witnesses of these things.

But when the Paraclete has come, whom I will send to you from my Father, the Spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, he will testify of me; and you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

For we can not but speak the things that we have seen and heard.

to the end that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known, through the church, to the principalities and authorities in the heavenly regions, according to the arrangement of the ages, which he established by Christ Jesus our Lord,

In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and in this you will be my disciples.

maintaining an honorable mode of life am one the Gentiles, that, inasmuch as they speak against you as evil-doers, they may, on account of your good works which they witness, glorify God in the day of visitation.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the end come.

And the gospel must first be preached among all the nations.

And he said to them: Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

These twelve Jesus sent forth after he had charged them, saying: Go not into the road that leads to the Gentiles, and enter not a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Provide for yourselves neither gold, nor silver, nor brass, to put into your purses, nor bag for your journey, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor staffs: for the laborer is worthy of his support. Whatever city or village you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there make your home till you go away.read more.
When you go into a house, salute it: and if the house be worthy, your peace shall come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace shall return to you. And whoever will not receive you, nor hear your words, when you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, in the day of judgment, than for that city.

And he commanded them to take nothing for their journey, but a staff only; no bag, no bread, no money in their purses; but to be shod with sandals, and not to put on two coats. And he said to them: Wherever you enter a house, there make your home till you depart from that place.read more.
And whoever will not receive you, nor hear you, when you go out from that place, shake off the dust under your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.

And he said to them: Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; nor have two coats each. And whatever house you enter, there remain, and thence depart. And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off even the dust from your feet, for a testimony against them.

Carry no purse, nor bag, nor sandals; and salute no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest on him; but, if not, it shall return upon you.read more.
And in that house remain, eating and drinking what they have to give; for the laborer is worthy of his hire; go not from house to house. And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them: The kingdom of God has come near to you. But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say: Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city.

Now those who had been dispersed by the persecution that arose after the death of Stephen, traveled as far as Phenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none but Jews.

Then they that were dispersed went everywhere preaching the word. And Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached the Christ to them. And the multitudes with one mind gave heed to the things which were spoken by Philip, when they heard, and saw the signs which he did.read more.
For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them, and many paralytics and lame per sons were cured. And there was great joy in that city.

Now when the apostles, who were in Jerusalem, heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John; who, when they had gone down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit. But the Lord said to him: Go; for he is a vessel chosen by me to bear my name before nations and kings, and the sons of Israel.

For I speak to you, Gentiles; inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I do honor to my ministry,

that I may be the public servant of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, officiating as a priest with respect to the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles may be acceptable, having been sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

And Peter opened his mouth, and said: In truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons; but, in every nation, he that fears him and works righteousness is accepted by him.

But some of them were men of Cyprus and Gyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed, and turned to the Lord.

Now there were certain prophets and teachers in the church that was at Antioch; Barnabas, and Simeon, who is called Niger, and Lucius of Gyrene, and Manaen, who was brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. And while they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said: Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul, to the work to which I have called them. Then, after they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

But Paul chose Silas, and departed, having been commended to the grace of God by the brethren. And he passed through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
