And Jesus went out, and was departing from the temple, and his disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But Jesus said to them: Do you not see all these things? Verily I say to you, There shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be thrown down, And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, and said: Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age? read more.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled, for all things must be fulfilled; but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in various places. But all these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to affliction, and kill you; and you will be hated by all nations on my account. And then will many be ensnared, and they will deliver one another up, and hate one another; and many false prophets will arise, and deceive many; and because iniquity abounds, the love of many will grow cold. But he that endures to the end, shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the end come.

But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled; for these things must be: but not yet is the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines, and tumults. These are the beginning of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be scourged in the synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. read more.
And the gospel must first be preached among all the nations.

Do you not know that those who are engaged about sacred rites have their living from the temple? and that those who attend upon the altar are partakers with the altar? So, also, the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live by the gospel.

My little children, I write these things to you, that you may not sin: and yet, if any one sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. For the preaching of the cross is to those who perish, foolishness; but to us who are saved, it is the power of God. For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; and I will set aside the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? For, since in the wisdom of God, the world, by its wisdom, knew not God, it has pleased God, through the foolishness of what is preached, to save those who believe. For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified; to the Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks, foolishness: but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God, and the wisdom of God. For, through God, we are a sweet odor of Christ, among the saved, and among the lost: to the one, we are the odor of death ending in death; to the other, the odor of life ending in life: and who is sufficient for these things? that we might no longer be children, tossed and carried about by every wind of teaching, through the artifice of men, through craftiness used by them for the deliberate planning of deceit;

I am astonished that you are so soon turning away from him that called you into the grace of Christ, to another gospel: which is nothing else than that there are some who trouble you, and are determined to pervert the gospel of the Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach to you any other gospel than that which we have preached, let him be ac cursed. read more.
As we said before, so even now I say again, if any one preaches to you any other gospel than that which you have received, let him be accursed. For, do I now seek the favor of men, or of God? or do I strive to please men? If, indeed, I would still please men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

you, then, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? You who say that a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob temples? You who make your boast in the law, do you, by transgressing the law, dishonor God? read more.
For the name of God is reviled among the Gentiles, on account of you, as it is written.

The law and the prophets were till John. Since that time, the kingdom of God is preached, and every one enters it by force. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one point of the law to fail.

But do you be watchful in all things, endure evil, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.?

If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God: if any man acts as a deacon, let him do this as from the strength which God supplies; that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory and strength from age to age. Amen.
