So He came to Nazareth where He had been brought up, and as His habit was on the Sabbath, He went to the synagogue and stood up to read.

Jesus answered them, "Did you never read what David did, when he and his soldiers became hungry? How he went into the house of God and took and ate the sacred loaves, which it was against the law for anyone to eat except the priests, and gave some to his soldiers?"
And He answered, "Have you not read that the Creator at the beginning made them male and female,
and asked Him, "Do you hear what they are saying?" Jesus answered them, "Yes. Did you never read this, 'Out of the mouths of little children, yea, of infants, you have perfect praise'?"
Have you never read this passage of Scripture: "'That stone which the builders threw away has now become the cornerstone; This is the work of the Lord, and seems wonderful to us'?"
But He glanced at them and said, "Then what does this Scripture mean: 'That stone which the builders threw away has now become the cornerstone'?
But did you never read, on the resurrection of the dead, what God said to you,
"So when you see the destructive desecration, mentioned by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place" -- let the reader take notice --

When this letter has been read to you, have it read to the church at Laodicea too, and see to it that you too read the one that is coming from Laodicea.
When they had read it, they were delighted with the encouragement it brought them.
I solemnly charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.
All Scripture is inspired by God, and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in doing what is right,
Now they have come to know that everything you have given me really comes from you;
Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and thus to enter into His glory?" Then He began with Moses and went through all the prophets and explained to them all the passages in the Scriptures about Himself.
By reading this you will be able to understand my insight into the secret about the Christ --
But these have been recorded, in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life, as bearers of His name.
and that from childhood you have known the sacred Scriptures which can give you wisdom that leads to salvation through the faith that leans on Christ Jesus.
Blessed be the man who reads them and the people who hear the messages of this prophecy read, and heed what is written in it, for the time is near.
For everything that was written in the earlier times was written for our instruction, so that by our patient endurance and through the encouragement the Scriptures bring we might continuously cherish our hope.

As I have said it before, so now I say it again, if anybody is preaching to you a good news that is contrary to the one which you have already received, a curse upon him!
Therefore, dearly beloved, since you are expecting this, be in earnest to be found by Him without a blot, without reproach, and at peace. Always think of our Lord's patience as salvation, just as our dearly beloved brother Paul, with the wisdom granted him, wrote you to do, speaking of it as he does in all his letters. In them are some things hard to understand, which the ignorant and unsteady twist to their ruin, as they do the rest of the Scriptures.
I write you this with reference to those who are trying to lead you astray,
Dearly beloved, stop believing every so-called spiritual utterance, but keep testing them to see whether they come from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
