And having strictly charged him, He straightway sent him away, and saith to him, "See that you say nothing to any one, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses directed, for a testimony to them."

And, stretching forth His hand, He touched him, saying, "I am willing; be made clean." And straightway the leprosy departed from him. And He charged him to tell no one; but, "Departing, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."

but that we write to them to abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from anything strangled, and from blood;

But the Pharisees, seeing it, said to Him, "Behold, Thy disciples are doing that which it is not lawful to do on a sabbath."

And the Pharisees said to them, "Behold, why are they doing on the sabbath that which is not lawful?"

But some of the Pharisees said, "Why are ye doing that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath?"

For circumcision, indeed, profits, if you do the law; but, if you are transgressors of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

And He said, "Are ye also even yet without understanding? Do ye not perceive that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and is cast forth into the drain? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and these defile the man.read more.
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false-witnessings, blasphemies: these are the things which defile the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man."

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very likeness of the things, can never, with the same sacrifices, which they offer year by year continually, perfect those who come to them; else would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshipers, having been cleansed once for all, would have had no more conscience of sins. But in these sacrifices there is a remembrance of sins year by year;

being only (with meats and drinks and various immersions) ordinances of the flesh, imposed until a time of reformation.

But now we have been fully discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

I know, and have been persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: except that to him who accounts anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.

For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments expressed in decrees, that He might make the two one new man in Himself, making peace,

and you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, did He make alive with Him: having freely forgiven us all our trespasses; having blotted out the hand-writing in decrees against us, which was contrary to us, and He has taken it out of the midst, nailing it to the cross; having despoiled the principalities and the powers, He made an example of them, celebrating a triumph over them in it.read more.
