But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy chamber, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father who sees in secret shall reward thee openly.
But so much the more his fame went forth, and great multitudes came together to hear and to be healed by him of their infirmities. But he withdrew himself into the wilderness and prayed.
And it came to pass in those days that he went out into the mountain to pray and continued all night in prayer to God.
And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place, and the people sought him and came unto him and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place and rest a while; for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.
And when he had sent the multitude away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray; and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus and told him everything they had done and what they had taught.
Now as Moses shepherded the sheep of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, he led the flock to the backside of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
And when Moses would enter into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD would talk with Moses.
And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was laid dead upon his bed. He went in therefore and shut the door upon both of them and prayed unto the LORD.
And he went a little further and fell on his face, praying and saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place and prayed there.

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
neither did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went into Arabia and returned again unto Damascus.
