But the children of promise are counted the seed.

Set yourselves therefore at large, and bear not a stranger's yoke with the unbelievers. For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? What company hath light with darkness? What concord hath Christ with Belial? Either, what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? How agreeth the temple of God with images? Behold what love the father hath showed on us, that we should be called the sons of God. For this cause the world knoweth you not; because it knoweth not him. Dearly beloved, now are we the sons of God, and yet it doth not appear what we shall be. But we know that when it shall appear, we shall be like him. For we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himself, even as he is pure.

All that are born of God do no sin, for his seed abideth in them, and they cannot sin, because they be born of God. And hereby are the sons of God known, and also the sons of the devil. All that work not righteousness, are not of God, nor he that loveth not his brother.

All that believe that Jesus is Christ, are born of God. And all that loveth him which begat, loveth him also which was begotten of him. In this we know that we love the sons of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
