It is the Spirit That giveth life; the flesh profits nothing: the words which I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit.

because he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life eternal.

Now, on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood, and cried, saying, "If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He that believes on Me, as the Scripture said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water." But this He spake concerning the Spirit, Whom those who believed on Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the Gift of God, and Who it is, That saith to you 'Give Me to drink,' you would have asked of Him, and He would have given you living water." She says to Him, "Sir, Thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Whence, therefore, hast Thou the living water Art Thou greater than our Father Jacob, who gave us the well, and himself drank of it, and his sons, and his cattle?"read more.
Jesus answered and said to her, "Every one who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whosoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up into eternal life."

And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, issuing forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the midst of its street. And on either side of the river, was a tree of life, producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
