and I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John, indeed, immersed in water, but ye shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit.'
John answered, saying to them all, "I, indeed, immerse you in water; but He is coming, Who is mightier than I??he latchet of Whose sandals I am not worthy to loose??e will immerse you in the Holy Spirit and in fire;
going, therefore, disciple ye all the nations, immersing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
He that believes and is immersed shall be saved; but he that disbelieves shall be condemned.
And, behold, I send forth the promise of My Father upon you; but abide ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high."
and, Paul having laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they were speaking with tongues, and prophesying.
For by grace ye have been saved through faith: and this, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any one should boast;
And it came to pass, while Apollos was in Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper districts, came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples; and he said to them, "Did ye receive the Holy Spirit, after having believed?" And, when the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled they were all together in one place; and suddenly there came out of Heaven a sound, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death? We were buried, therefore, with Him through the immersion into death; that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. For, if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection;read more.
